Ascent, (2009, digital video, 3 minutes) is from a series of experimental videos based on footage of sunlight reflecting off of the surface of water. In Ascent, the invisible grid of the video matrix was shifted slightly. The y-coordinates were averaged becoming vertical bands as the video gradually transitions from dark to light. |
